OpenAI Secret Project Strawberry: OpenAI, the company that created ChatGPT, is working on a new technology, which has been code-named ‘Strawberry’. What is the purpose of Project Strawberry?
OpenAI has shown demos of Q* to some employees, in which AI models answered difficult science and math questions that are not possible for currently available commercial models. Strawberry aims to limit AI models to not just answering questions, but to make them capable of working on their own and planning ahead on the Internet.
Strawberry includes a special type of ‘post-training’, which means that AI models already trained on very large datasets will be further improved in a specific way. This ‘post-training’ is to improve the performance of AI so that all tasks can be done even better.
